Project Description
An exploration of the photogravure process: blending traditional craft with contemporary photography

I’m currently exploring the photogravure process, creating prints that blend traditional craft with contemporary photography. Each image is etched from a Toyobo KM73 solar plate and hand-pulled on an RL Vorster Etching Press using Akua Inks on Somerset Soft White Velvet 300gsm paper. The subtle variations in every print make each one a unique work of art. There’s more to come as I continue to explore the boundaries between photography, printmaking, and handcraft.
